Giving the Gifts that Keep on Giving<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teaching,
\na giving that rewards twice.
\nThey gain the knowledge,
\nwhich of course, is power.<\/p>\n

And then, in scaffolding the dull thick, facts
\ninto a cathedral,
\nI pause and appreciate the marvel
\nOf how nature works.<\/p>\n

Poetry too, is about making meaning.
\nThe polishing of a mirror that distorts just enough
\nto reflect something for
\neveryman.<\/p>\n

That crystalisation of random facts into diamond appreciation,
\nis winning the brightest gold watch,
\n(after of course, getting the buggers to behave).
\nPoetry is a bit like that too.<\/p>\n
