David \u2013 Drifting<\/strong>: A balanced, emotional story with some lovely phrases (\u201cfutureless future\u201d). Work on pacing might be David\u2019s next step. Also there seems to be a thread running through David\u2019s work. Perhaps an anthology in the making?<\/p>\n Gillian \u2013 Interview scene: A bit cliched in parts. Need to develop DI McIntosh\u2019s character more and the tension in the relationship<\/p>\n Alana \u2013 Dura Mater<\/strong>: Alana\u2019s dissertation piece for Uni was very well received. Great characters and lovely use of dialogue. Now to finish the novel.<\/p>\n Sarah \u2013 This was a futuristic piece which had allegorical elements. (David thought of the Slave Trade). Interesting commentary on the meaning of life.<\/p>\n Richard \u2013 The Yoof of the World<\/strong>: Astute observation and great pace made this a really engaging piece. Members are invited to read the whole piece and comment.<\/p>\n Business<\/b><\/p>\n Rosie proposed room bookings should be made fortnightly and so the next meeting is July 17th<\/sup>. Would there be enough materials? Readings could just be once a month if necessary.<\/p>\n Organisation \u2013 more people need to step up to the plate and take part in running the group. Sue offered to join the committee.<\/p>\n Project – The nature, timeline and schedule for delivery will be discussed at committee. \u201cThe Nethergate\u201d was a suggested scope as it allows plenty of scope.
