Zusana Storrier’s speculative flash-fiction piece, Red Rock, is set on the cliffs at Arbroath and is a bloody twist on selkie folklore.
Red Rock will be published this month in Pushing Out the Boat, Issue 16. For anyone who doesn’t know Pushing Out the Boat already, it’s a long-established and sumptuously produced literary journal which focuses on the North and North-East of Scotland and embraces a wide range of writing and visual arts. It’s Zusana’s favourite literary magazine, so she’s thrilled to have had work accepted for it.
