Zusana Storrier’s speculative flash-fiction piece, Red Rock, is set on the cliffs at Arbroath and is a bloody twist on selkie folklore.

Red Rock will be published this month in Pushing Out the Boat, Issue 16. For anyone who doesn’t know Pushing Out the Boat alreadyit’s a long-established and sumptuously produced literary journal which focuses on the North and North-East of Scotland and embraces a wide range of writing and visual arts. It’s Zusana’s favourite literary magazine, so she’s thrilled to have had work accepted for it.

If you have poetry or shorter pieces of prose (of any genre) with some link to this corner of the world, she’d very much recommend you submit. The production team are both efficient and friendly at every turn.
